28. October 2013 11:46 by Team Eternal Mewar in Eternal Mewar

One of the royal guests at the Ashwa Poojan ceremony in Udaipur this year was the editor of ET Travel, Nimisha Tiwari. When she got back, she presented her experience of Dussehra, Ashwa Poojan, and her interaction with the royal family in a beautiful article, published in the Editor’s Pick section.

Her write up takes you through her journey of wonder and discovery as she recounts celebrating Dussehra with the Suryavanshi clan of Udaipur, direct descendants of Lord Rama’s son Luv. She marvels at the dressing and adornments of the hosts as well as royal guests and the regal Rajput pomp and grandeur. She captures the essence of the Ashwa Poojan ceremony, how the celebration unfolds and the various rituals performed through words and pictures. She even touches upon the efforts of the royal family to conserve the heritage of Mewar, generate employment through heritage hotels and boost tourism in the region through well maintained museums and other initiatives.

Nimisha’s article in ET Travel presents a beautiful picture of the fine Mewar heritage and the tradition of Ashwa Poojan, and will surely intrigue you.

Swaranjali 2013: when pure music befalls, it mesmerises its listeners and the singers along!

21. October 2013 11:17 by Team Eternal Mewar in Events & Shows

Guru Poornima celebrated with the purest form of music in the perfect ambience of Shri Eklingnathji Temple by Eternal Mewar, is growing on people by the year. Those who understand Indian classical music simply close their eyes and drift away. Those who do not, are surprised at themselves responding to the melodies in such harmony. Above all, the vocalists and musicians themselves fall short of words to describe what they felt when they performed at Swaranjali 2013. They cannot thank Shriji Arvind Singh Mewar more for making this possible every year and bringing together the connoisseurs of music on a single platform while creating new ones. A platform that remains to be unique to Mewar and in the world.

When there is a will, there is always a way to The City Palace, Udaipur

14. October 2013 20:34 by Team Eternal Mewar in Museums & Galleries

The City Palace Museum was delighted to welcome 12 special visitors from Disable Union Organization, Israel. Our guests arrived on wheel chairs and were lifted up the steps to the Mardana Mahal lift by the City Palace staff. Thereafter, each visitor was taken to Mor Chowk.

It gives us a sense of satisfaction to have been able to comfortably and successfully show them around the museum. “Delightfully well maintained and very co-operative staff,” was left for us as a message in the visitor’s book by one of the guests. This visit did not go without leaving us a key take-away. When you think you can is actually when you can! We may have heard this all along, but we guess it sinks in only when we see it. Eternal Mewar looks forward to welcoming our esteemed guests again.
